Photography Studio

Private delivery portal
TL;DR

A delivery portal that runs on the studio's own cloud storage — Cloudflare R2, Backblaze, Google Cloud Storage, whichever they choose — ending the per-gallery subscription and leaving them holding their own files.

The customer

A photography studio paying escalating monthly fees to a gallery-delivery service that held their images.

The challenge

Album delivery services charge monthly, and the price climbs with storage and gallery count — so the cost grows precisely as the business does. Worse, the images live on the vendor's infrastructure: leaving means migrating years of client galleries, which is exactly what makes the subscription hard to cancel.

What we built

A delivery portal that points at storage the studio owns. Galleries are delivered to clients through a branded portal, but the files sit in the studio's own bucket — Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2, Google Cloud Storage, or whatever they prefer — at raw storage prices instead of per-gallery subscription rates. Switching providers later is a configuration change, not a migration project.

Branded client-facing gallery delivery
Runs on the studio's own cloud storage account
Works with Cloudflare R2, Backblaze, GCS and similar
Raw storage pricing instead of per-gallery fees
No vendor lock-in — the files were never anyone else's

The result

The delivery subscription went away and the studio now pays raw storage rates on infrastructure it controls. Clients get the same polished gallery experience, and the images stay in the studio's hands.
